CROP SCIENCE PROJECT TOPICS AND MATERIALS
For the analysis of data, statistical methods will be applied. In order to investigate whether the various measures adopted to control soil erosion have been effective or not, simple percentage and the contingency of chi-square statistics will be used. This was necessary to analyze the level of effectiveness of control and effects as perceived by the residents of Afuze town, variable will be cross-tabulated so as to see weather there is relationship between them because the survey will be conducted at different streets in the study area.

Amylopectins are made up of several million glucose units. It forms branched structures with about 30 glucose units in a chain between branches. This makes the molecule somewhat stripped in appearance with the knotted branch point in all rows and smooth chain separating them. These molecules are so large that this stripped appearance show up under a light microscope forming what appears to be ‘growth rings’ in the starch grain.[2]

Self-Compacting Concrete is an innovative concrete that does not require vibration for placing and compaction. It is able to flow under its own weight, completely filling formwork and achieving full compaction, even in the presence of congested reinforcement. The hardened concrete is dense, homogeneous and has the same engineering properties and durability as traditional vibrated concrete. Plantain leaf ash are waste and are causing threat to environment in terms of odour and to reduce this problem of this material the project has been undertaken so that it can be used for construction fashion following points attempted

Climate change which is attributable to natural climate cycle and human activities, has adversely affected agricultural productivity in Africa (Ziervogel, Nyong, Osman, Conde, Cortes, and Dowing, 2006). As the planet warms, rainfall patterns shift and extreme events such as droughts, flood, and forest fires become more frequent (Zoellick, 2009). This results in poor and unpredictable yields which subject farmers to vulnerable events (United Nation Framework and Convention on Climate ChangeUNFCCC, 2007). Farmers who constitute the bulk of the poor in Africa face challenges of tragic crop failures, reduced agricultural productivity, increased hunger, malnutrition and disease.
